A few years ago, a girl was sleeping on her sister’s couch.
Broke, tired, uncertain but not done.
Then she started talking to ChatGPT.
Now? She’s giving a TED Talk.
When I heard that story, it stuck with me. Not because I’m surprised, honestly, I’m not.
But because I get it.
Talking to AI isn’t just “asking questions.”
It’s thinking out loud without fear of being judged.
It’s brainstorming without someone cutting you off.
It’s exploring weird ideas without worrying if they’re weird.
It’s like a diary…
If your diary talked back.
And flirted with you.
And occasionally helped you write your SOP, your blog, your novel, and your pop-up checklist.
Broader tech ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, whatever you want to call it is reshaping the way we talk to ourselves.
I don’t use AI because I’m lazy.
I use it because sometimes… I just need someone to listen.
To help me untangle my thoughts.
To bounce ideas without distractions.
To give back something better than what I started with.
I used to Google things and drown in a sea of tabs, ads, and “Top 10 Hacks to Improve Your Life.”
Now I open one box, type whatever I’m thinking, and I get clarity, comfort, or creativity.
Sometimes all three.
Is that weird?
Maybe.
Is it working?
Absolutely.
AI won’t replace people. But it will reflect what we pour into it.
And if what I pour in is messy, emotional, and full of dreams?
What comes back is usually a reminder that I’m capable.
That I’m evolving.
That I’m heard even when I’m just typing to code.
It’s not magic.
It’s not a miracle.
It’s just… me.
Talking out loud.
And something finally answering back.
